Shield Azure (dark) with base wavy of Argent and Azure, a 3-arched bridge embattled, issuant Or masoned Gules; above an impending belfry Argent with port and windows Azure and bell Or. Mural crown with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "ARCOZELO - PONTE DE LIMA".

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field. The oat of arms was the same as current coat of arms, but the mural crown had only three visible towers (village rank).
