São Tomé de Vade Commune is one of the 17 communes of the Ponte da Barca municipality (q.v.); it had 287 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 1.5 km². This is one of the two communes making up the territory of Vade village and surrounding countryside, the other being Vade (São Pedro) Commune (St. Peter).
