It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of yellow and green.

The flag, adopted in 2025, is quire different from the previous one, adopted in 1997, which was plain yellow. The coat of arms was changed
only slightly: In the mural crown from 3 to 4 visible towers — due to the upgrade of the seat settlement to town status, and in the scroll,
formerly with inscription "SEROA - PAÇOS DE FERREIRA"

Shield Vert, a lion passant Argent tongued Gules, holding a palm frond Or in his right forepaw, in chief two chairs adorsed Or, in base a corn cob Gules leafed Or in pale.
Please not that Portuguese blazon says "lion leopardised", but a leopard should be always guardant.
Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "SEROA".
Meaning:
The lion with palm frond is an attribute of St. Mammes (Portuguese: Mamede), the local patron saint.

Seroa Commune is one of the nine communes of Paços de Ferreira Municipality ot affected by the 2013 changes.
It had 3756 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 6,05 km².
