The commune is heavily forested and attracts tourism. It has the best
Um-Pa-pah band in the region and 7 sports clubs.
Arms and flag adopted on June 29, 2004 (resolution # XVII/91/04)
"Arms: on a green, late-gothic, Spanish-style shield, between a royal crown and a wavy silver ribbon (symbolizing the river Drwinia) a rough tree log and two oak leaves.
Flag: a rectangle in the ratio 5:8 divided vertically 1:1 into two fields.
The fly part is divided horizontally 2:1:2 into bands of white, green and
yellow. The part next to hoist is green and bears the Arms."
