Oudkerk BV
Oudkerk BV at Rotterdam is a maritime charterer offering related services
such as shipbroking and inland waterway transportation. Founded in 1947
by Samuel Oudker, the firm is owned by HTAG
of Duisburg (Germany) since 1992. Website,
English version: showing a flagoid horizontally divided green-white-green
(clearly Rotterdam), the company name in green
letters in the white stripe ‘OUDKERK b.v.’ and a large yellow circle or
initial ‘O’ over all, placed in the centre (the abbreviation is placed
more to the right, outside the circle).
House flag flying on inland
vessel.
As explained on the site, offshore activities are very important to
Oudkerk given the opportunities offered by North Sea oil and gas exploitation.
Bulk cargo, mainly ore and coal, is handled and shipped; road and rail
transportation of various goods is organized as well.

In the message dated 31 May 2007, I mentioned Samuel Oudkerk (add the
last letter!), founder of the firm, and the takeover by HTAG in 1992.
I am richer than I remembered then, as a German eBay offer concerning
'S. Oudkerk & Zoon' showed a table flag I have saved (item no. 290091897407,
end 18 March 2007, put up by "shipflag").
Picture shows the Rotterdam stripes green-white-green, horizontal,
and joined yellow initals 'S' and 'O' in the centre, extending unto
the green stripes.
This flag - let us suppose it existed as a grown-up item - must have
preceded the one sent earlier, and have flown till 1992.
