institution for higher education in 1988 by Patriarch Ignatius IV, Patriarch of
Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church.
UOB is composed of 9 Faculties.
UOB's main campus is located on a plot by the historic Monastery of Balamand,
founded by the Cistercian monks in the 12th century. The monastery was a center
of learning in North Lebanon during the 19th century and home to the first
printing press in Lebanon.

University of Balamand
Dubai (UOBD) was established by UOB in partnership Dubai Investments PLSC
UBD
uses a white flag with a slightly different seal, on which the original olive
branch is replaced by the Dubai skyline, and the university's name below, in
Arabic and English.

UOB manages Mount Lebanon Hospital – Gharios Medical
Center,founded in 1995 by Mikhael Gharios, as its Hospital University Medical
Center.
The flag of Mount Lebanon Hospital is white with the hospital's
logo.
