The flag of the City of Honjo is white with mark.

The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Oct 22nd 2006 by Notice No 418 and 419. The white flag has a red, a green, a blue three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized kanji 本 Hon of Honjo. The red color stands for a vigor of the region which has a long history and a passion of the citizen, the green color for a farn land and a mountain forest which bring blessings, the blue color for an abundant water of Tone River. It represents an image of the city which well harmonizes with nature and make a leap forward. The flag proportion is 2:3.
