Description

Local Council Tur'an is situated in the Lower Galilee, on the slopes of Mount Tur'an, north to the main road to Tiberias. A Local Council since 1959 with 9000 inh., almost all Muslims. In my visit I spotted no flags but heard reports of white flags with an emblem in unknown colour. I drew the emblem black, as its original colour. Anyway the flag is only probable until confirmation. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut HaPirsumim), YP 3128, 30 November 1984.
