Introduction: Sheffield United Football Club

Sheffield United Football Club is one of two professional football clubs in the City of Sheffield, the county seat of South Yorkshire, England. It was formed in 1889 and competes (in 2021) in the Premier League, the top division of English football. They are nicknamed "The Blades" because of Sheffield's history of being England's major producer of cutlery. The club was begun by a group of members of the Sheffield United Cricket Club and because of this are the first football club to use "United" in their name. They have always played their home games at the Bramall Lane Grounds in Sheffield.
The Blades have nine championships to their credit in their 132 years of play: 2016-17 EFL League One, 1924-25 FA Cup, 1915 FA Cup Final, 1914-15 FA Cup, 1901-02 FA Cup, 1925 FA Cup Final, 1899 FA Cup Final, 1898-99 FA Cup, and the 1897-98 Football League. They are one of only four clubs to have finished as champions of each of the top four tiers of the football league.
Sheffield United also have a Women's team, formerly known as Sheffield United Ladies, who play in the FA Women's Championship. They also have their share of rivalries, especially with their cross-town rivals, the Sheffield Wednesday Football Club.

The Sheffield United FC, commonly known as "The Blades" references the tradition of cutlery manufacturing in Sheffield.
The club logo consists of a circular format with a thick red outer ring bordered white internally. At the top of this circle are the words "SHEFFIELD UNITED F.C." in white block letters, and the date "1889" is similarly written at the bottom. The central image is black, and depicts two white scimitars crossed at the hilt at the bottom of the image, with a White Rose of Yorkshire at the top. The symbolism likewise refers to Sheffield as a traditional centre of sword and knife-making.

Fan Flags

There are multiple fan flag designs for "SUFC", both official and unofficial on the market. Many are one of a kind designed for particular matches, opponents, or tournaments. The club is over 132 years-old and that can generate a lot of flags: here are some recent examples:

These last four were probably one of a kind made for individuals or for special events. I leave the interpretation of their meanings up to others.

If these were not enough examples, I'd recommend the video Sheffield United Flags - if you can stand the chanting.
