Introduction

The German Sailing Federation webpage (Deutscher Segler-Verband, DSV) listed 1257 German yacht clubs in December 2020. I have prepared flag images using the images at each yacht club's website. My contribution is not exhaustive, since several burgees were not shown clearly enough on their respective yacht club website or far beyond my drawing skills.

The German abbreviation "e.V." stands for eingetragener Verein, registered association.

I have drawn the whole series with proportion 3:5 as a simplification. Burgee images shown on the yacht club pages are often not very clear when they include real flags, and I do not trust too much the computerised renditions shown on other pages. Regarding Spandau and other ancient yacht clubs, I believe their classical burgees are in the classical 3:5 proportion. Some more recent burgees have less classical designs (I don't mean "heraldical") and may have less "classical" proportions.

Click on letter above, the clubs are ordered by the name of their seat, or by name of the club, if the seat is not part of the name. The pages contain sailing clubs and motor boat clubs as well.
