Shield Azure parted by an embowed barrulet Argent; in chief a cross formy Argent, flanked by a grain ear Or at dexter and an oak leaf Or at sinister; in base a watermill wheel Or.
Meaning:
The embowed barrulet, blazoned as a rainbow, displays the apocryphal arms of the Huosi family, mentioned as one of the most important Bavarian kin of noblemen in the 8th century by the "Lex Baiuwariorum"". Their ancestral seat is supposed as having been in Dürnhausen, nowadays a part of Habach. The cross, also known as cross of Ulricus, is reminding on Provost Norbert of Augsburg, later Bishop of Chur. He founded a church dedicated to the saint immediately besides the old parish church of Habach in 1073. Its importance increased in 1085, when it became seat of a mundane convent. Both churches were demolished in 1651 and replaced. In the beginning of the 15th century the convent became ruler of the local district (Bavarian: Hofmark) and had also the local low level cognisance and was an important manorial lord until 1803. Ear and leaf are symbolising the economic importance of agriculture and forestry. The wheel is representing the five former watermills, among them the mills Jaudmühle, Kratzlmühle and Obermühle.
