Shield parted per pale, at dexter Azure an eradicated fir Or, at sinister Or a fleur-de-lis Azure.
Meaning:
Until 1600 the name of the settlement had been Irmatshofen on the Forest or simply Wald (= forest). Irmatshofen had been a market town since 1593 but without proper seals, probably due to its dependence on its local rulers. The fir is a canting element, representing a forest. The fleur-de-lis is taken from the arms of the Fugger kin, as Anton Fugger acquired Irmatshofen in 1549. The tinctures also refer to the kin.
