On the peaks of a triplemount issuant Sable three natural lilies Azure stemmed Vert, chief lozengy of Argent and Azure.
Meaning:
Plattling had been already a market town in 1506, when arms had been granted. All seals since 1514 and all paintings in rolls of arms since 1565 match the description in the grant except for minor differences. The flowers are interpreted either as Bavarian gentian symbolising the location of the town, or as a symbol of the loyalty of the citizens or as a symbol of the status of a market town with the lilies as a symbol of justice. Others say, the pattern is simply punning, alluding to leaves (German: Blatt, Sg.). On seals of the 19th century the shield sometimes was crested by a helmet. The chief is symbolising the rule of the Dukes of Bayern.
