Blue symbolizes the French origins of Clermont, and peace (Clermont,
peaceful village).
Gold symbolizes material wealth. Clermont in 1954 was the
most prosperous and dynamic municipality of Charlevoix. Gold also underlines
spiritual wealth, the Catholic religion takes up all the space at the heart of
believers.
Green symbolizes hope for the future. It also highlights the
forest, Clermont's main economic activity.
Black/Red: the band emphasizes the
division of the city's territory into two equal parts, and the righteousness and
honesty of Clermont. The moose symbolizes pride. He also recalls that Clermont
is a hunting paradise. It also recalls the part of agriculture in our society.
The mounts emphasize the rugged topography of the territory of the
