The New York Jets are one of two professional American football teams located in the New York City area. The Jets play in the American Football Conference (AFC) East division, part of the National Football League (NFL). In a unique arrangement for the league, the Jets share MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with the New York Giants who play in the National Football Conference, East Division. The Jets were first organized in 1959 as the New York Titans, an original member of the American Football League (AFL), but later were moved the NFL in the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. In their early years they played at the Polo Grounds, but in 1964 along with their name change they moved to Shea Stadium in 1964, then to the Meadowlands Sports Complex in 1984, before moving to the MetLife Stadium.
The Jets are one of only three NFL teams (New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the other two) to win just one Super Bowl Championship. In 1968 they won Super Bowl III defeating the Baltimore Colts and becoming the first AFL team to defeat a NFC team in the championship. Since 1968, the Jets have appeared in playoff games 13 times, won the AFL East Championship in 1968 and 1969, and the AFC East Championship in 1998 and 2002, but have never returned to the Superbowl.
Note: Be aware that there are a host of manufacturer's variants of these and other fan flags being marketed for "Jets" fans. This includes garden flags, banners, and pennants.

New York City hosts two professional football teams, the New York Jets and the New York Giants. These flags are sold for those divided households, where one partner is a Jets fan, and one supports the Giants. Strangely enough, the two New York Teams share the same home stadium in an unique arrangement, the Metlife Stadium, which is actually located in East Rutherford in the neighboring state of New Jersey.
