Presentation of Mouçós

Mouçós was one of the 18 communes of Vila Real Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 3051 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 23,5 km².

Shield Argent, issuant from base a mount Sable, charged with 15 diamonds Or (blazon says "lozenges"), crowned by an embattled tower Azure, masoned Argent with open port, in chief a tortois (= a roundel Gules) charged with a Paschal Lamb Argent nimbed Or, flanked by two corn cobs Gules leafed Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "LAMARES - VILA REAL".
