Shield Azure a bell Argent between two coupeaux Or issuant from base and in chief a Marian crown Or either with gems Azure (see left images above) or gems Vert and Gules and ornaments on bell and bigger font type in 2nd line (see right images above) between two olive branches Argent fructed Sable in saltire at their proximal ends and tied with a ribbon Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE VALE DO SEIXO E VILA GARCIA".
Meaning:
he word "seixo" usually means "pebble" but in this context it is the proper name of a local mountain peak (692 m), in relation to it one of the component toponyms of the name of this commune can be seen as its valley, "Vale do Seixo" — the arms being thus partly canting. The crown is an attribute of St: Mary, who had been patronsaint of both former communes, for Vila Garcia as Our Lady of Delights and for Vale do Seixo as Immaculate Conception.
