Shield Azure, a castle Argent, having three embattled towers, all masoned Gules with port and windows Gules, the bigger central tower topped by three masts Argent with pennants Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "PROVESENDE".
Meaning:
The castle is the local Castelo de São Domingos, reminding on the fact, that the area had been populated for ages, furthermore being an object of historical heritage.
