Shield Or with base wavy of Argent and Azure, issuant from base a mount Vert, on central chief point a huert, i.e. a disc Azure, charged with a radiant sun Or with face. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "VILA DE SOUSELO".

Symbols not published in Diário da República nor approved by Comissão de Heráldica da Associação dos Arqueólogos Portugueses (CHAAP), as partitions of the shield are not allowed by law (problem could easily be solved by changing one part from blue to green and removing of the line of partition).

Souselo is one of the 13 communes of Cinfães Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 2839 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 9,17 km².
