Until the last local municipal elections in the municipality nobody knew that
the symbols (below) were used unofficially in public spaces. The Kosovan law on
local self-government requires each symbol to be adopted through the municipal
assembly:

Article 7 Symbols 7.3 "The symbols of a Municipality shall be approved and
changed by the municipal assembly pursuant to the constitutional and legal
provisions of Republic of Kosova and shall not resemble to symbols of other
states or municipalities within or outside Republic of Kosova".
This municipality has still to proceed with adoption of symbols, but until
then it will use the temporary Kosovo arms instead.
