As of yesterday a new flag is displayed in the Island Council's Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/photo.

It is diagonally divided on a rising diagonal orange over a purplish blue with the arms of Kiribati in the upper hoist, and black bird flying over a constellation of nine white stars across the remainder of the flag.

From the recently launched FB page of the Nonouti Island council we get what seems to be a flag:

In 2022 I found a document from the council with a "flag" similar to this one, without the Kiribati national flag and a different arrangement of the stars and the bird.
Is it official? Time will tell.
