This flag of Al-Anbar governorate is an older variant of the logo placed
diagonally on a white field to appear upright. Most notably, the ribbon is green
and has yellow text. Also, the background is the sky and the palm tree is green
and covers the top. There may still be usage; but it appears to have ceased
around the time of the modern logo's adoption in late 2024 or sometime in 2025.

October 2025The logo of the governorate has two Iraqi national flags curved to the sides, emerging from a bronze-outlined ribbon which reads the governorate name in Arabic. In the center, a bronze palm tree for its popular cultivation here. Over it, a green map of Iraq appears with the governorate highlighted in bronze. As typical, no adoption date for the logo is known, but the modern variant was created in late 2024.

The metadata gives 18 November 2024 as the publication date of the current logo on the governorate portal. The slightly different previous logo was used in January 2016.
