Description of the flag

St Saviour (Guernésiais: Saint Sauveux; French: Saint-Sauveur) is one of the ten parishes of Guernsey.

The flag is blue and covered with the coat of arms in the center. The crest is a silver shield with a crown of thorns and three nails. The Parish church, St Sauveur de L'Épine, was dedicated to Jesus Christ. Hence, the crown and nails of the crucifixion though 'Épine' means thorn and may suggest a relic of the crown of thorns.
