The municipality of Chaponost (8,296 inhabitants in 2014; 1,632 ha) is located south-west of Lyon.

Flag of Chaponost

The flag of Chaponost (photo) is white with the municipal logo in the center.
The logo features an arch of the Roman aqueduct of the Gier, built during the reign of Hadrian in the 2nd century to supply spring water from Mount Pilat to the town of Lugdunum (Lyon).
