About the flag

In the years 1937 - 1939 there was the so-called Non-Intervention Committee, consisting of 25 nations, to calm down the Spanish Civil War. The NIC had a rather large fleet to control and stop the transport of arms to the two parties of this war, mainly from France, Germany, Great Britain and Italy. All of these ships carried the NIC-Flag, consisting of two black balls on a white field. This flag had to be shown at day light and had to be illuminated during night.
