Symbols of Badolatosa

Municipality of Badolatosa in the Province of Sevilla, Andalucia, has its own symbols. The coat of arms was adopted by Ayuntamiento in 1970, and the flag was approved by the General Secretariat of Local Administration on 28.11.2023.

• Coat of arms:
  Description: Azure shield, a golden sun. In base, silver and azure waves. Crest: a royal crown.
  Meaning: The waves refer to the river ford where the town originated, as the town's name comes from "Vado de la Choza". The sun symbolically represents the sun of freedom, as the municipality gained its independence from the Marquisate of Estepa at the beginning of the 19th century.
  
• Flag:
  Description: "The flag is rectangular, with a 2:3 ratio. The colors chosen are those of the Badolatosa coat of arms, arranged in three diagonal and parallel stripes. The representative colors are white, yellow, and blue."
  The parallel strips are distributed as follows:
  - In the lower right part, in the hinged area, we find the color blue, forming a right triangle with a height of 1.33 and a width of 2.4.
  - In the central part of the flag, we find a diagonal yellow stripe, whose lines are parallel to each other and to the right triangle described above. The yellow stripe rests on the lower left side of the flagpole. The width of this stripe from the flagpole to the blue color is 0.6. The height of the yellow color from the swing base is 0.67.
  - Finally, in the upper left part, near the hoist, is the color white, forming a symmetrical right triangle, with the same proportions and measurements as the blue one located on the fly of the flag.
