Symbols of Arenas

The municipality of Arenas in the Province of Malaga, Andalucia, has its own symbols according to the Agreement issued by Ayuntamiento, from 07.02.2019. The coat of is in use from 1876, and the flag was adopted on 29.05.1992, but waited for final phase.

• Coat of arms:
  Description: Gold shield, green mount, with a castle in its natural colors accompanied by two rampant red lions. Crested with a closed royal crown.
  Meaning: Unknown. The motif of the tower or castle flanked by two lions appears on the coats of arms of several Andalusian municipalities: Almogía (Málaga), Aroche (Huelva), Chiclana (Cádiz), El Castillo de las Guardas (Seville), Fiñana (Almería) and Villaverde (Seville).
