The Autonomous Local Entity of Garciez is part of Municipality of Bedmar y Garciez in the Province of Jaen, Andalucia. Its symbols were approved in 2003, according to the website Cronistas Oficiales.

• Coat of arms:
  Description: On a field of gules, four silver batons, each charged with four sable ermine spots. Gold border with the motto in sable letters: Potius Mori Quam Foedari (Rather die than be dishonored).
  Meaning: These are the arms of the Quesada lineage, who were lords of Garcíez.
  
• Flag:
  Description: Rectangular green flag, with a large diagonal white stripe fringed with purple.
  Meaning: Purple alludes to the color erroneously attributed to the Royal Banner of Castile when the town of Garciez was conquered by its king, Ferdinand III "The Saint," and is also the color of the Banner of the Kingdom of Jaén. White represents cordiality, tolerance, harmony, openness, and peace. Green signifies freedom, hope, enthusiasm, and the people's self-confidence. Green is also the color of olive groves
