The INPOSDOM flag can be seen in the background of photographs online at https://presidencia.gob.do/movil/noticias.php?nid=105479, http://www.listindiario.com/la-republica/2011/2/22/178398/print-no-pics, and http://inversionespuntacana.info/revista/business-tech/1014-director-de-correo-dr-modesto-guzman-promueve-uso-codigo-postal.html. The flag consists of the INPOSDOM logo centered on a white field. The logo itself features the colors of the national flag and is edged in the fashion of a postage stamp - blue at the top, red at the bottom, separated by a white bar which is inscribed with the name of the institution in red and blue capital letters. In the blue and red portions of the logo is the form of a bird in white, holding within its beak a white envelope.

The Instituto Postal Dominicana (INPOSDOM, or Dominican Postal Institute) is an independent agency of the Dominican Republic government charged with overseeing and operating the Dominican Republic's postal service. Originally established by Public Law No. 40 on Postal Communications in November 1963 as the General Post Office under the State Secretariat for Public Works and Communications, it became an independent agency in November 1985 by Law No. 307. INPOSDOM also acts as the Dominican Republic's connection to postal systems worldwide.
