The pennant is white, shifted to hoist are a key and an anchor in saltire, topped by a coronet, all charges in blue. The key is an attribute of St. Peter, patron saint of the local parish church. The coronet is an attribute of St. Mary, patron saint of the city. Both attributes are taken from the Købstadsvåben of Næstved City.

The pennant is blue charged with a white whale (or dolphin). Norsminde is located at the mouth of the namesake fjord, around 10 km south of Aarhus.

The red pennant is parted by a white lozenge filling the whole fly, in upper hoist is a white 6-point star rotated 90°, in lower hoist is a white waning crescent. Star and crescent are taken from the Købstadsvåben of Nyborg City.
