Description of coat of arms:
In a blue field is a silver and red cushion with four golden (= yellow) tassels, topped by a black attire.
Meaning:
The arms are known since 1501as the composition appears on the oldest known seal. The attire is taken from the arms of Württemberg. The pillow (German: Pfühl) is a canting element. Around 1600 the field is several times reported as red. Later in the 17th century the antler was placed separately onto the chief. After the granting of city rights in 1699, the colour was changed into blue. The head was again removed in 1934 when the present arms were granted.

The coat of arms was approved in 1934.
