Description of coat of arms:
On the base of the red shield is a green hill. A ruined golden (=yellow) tower, masoned black stands on top of the hill. It is flanked by two silver (= white), paly lock picks (keys).
Meaning:
The tower is symbolizing the ruins of Hohenstein castle. The keys are taken from the arms of the burgmen of Kaib von Hohenstein respectively of the Lords of Speth, both members of the local, medieval gentry.
