Shield Gules, a nettle leaf Argent, charged with an inescutcheon Gules, displaying a chalice Or and a twisting serpent Or.
Meaning:
Chalice and serpent (blazon mentions however a Rod of Asclepius, which it is definitely not) are alluding to the fact that Bad Nenndorf is a spa. The nettle leaf is taken from the arms of the Counts of Schaumburg, the former rulers.
The arms were approved in 1951 by Minister of Interior of Lower Saxony.

It is a red-white-red horizontal triband with ratio of stripes approx. 2:7:2. The coat of arms is shifted to the top, fimbriated white and exceeding the central stripe.

Shield parted per fess, above Or a roe deer salient Sable, beneath Gules a nettle leaf Argent superimposed by three nails in pall of the same, meeting in the centre of the leaf.
Meaning:
The nettle leaf with nails is the version, taken from the arms of former Grafschaft Schaumburg County. It is that part, which was gained by Hesse at the end of the 30-Years-War in 1648. The roe deer is alluding to the old name of the municipality in 1612, which was "auf der Hast" (= on the chase).

It is a red-white-red horizontal triband with ratio of stripes approx. 3:7:3. The coat of arms is in the middle of the white stripe. The flag is used unofficially.

Shield Gules, a chevron chequered of Sable and Argent in three rows and touching the upper edge of the shield, in base a nettle leaf Argent.
Meaning:
The chevron is a modification of the family arms of the Hohnhorst kin, a kin of ancient nobility, i.e. kins being part of nobility at least since 1400. The family arms displayed a chevron chequered of blue and white in a blue field. The nettle leaf is alluding to the Counts of Schaumburg, the former rulers.
