Shield Gules a bend wavy Argent, chief barry bendy of Argent and Azure.
Meaning:
In 1403 Duke Heinrich XVI the Rich of Bayern-Landshut granted the rights of a market town. Before the village had been seat of a district (Bavarian:Hofmark) and had belonged to the Bishopric of Regensburg. The pattern is known by local seals, which are known by prints since 1526 and basically has never changed since then. The bend wavy is representing a creek (German: Bach) and is thus canting. Due to the lozenges and their order in chief it is supposed that the arms had been granted by a Duke of Bayern-Landshut, although ther is no document of approval. Since 1565 coloured images of the arms displayed the creek in different tinctures.

The banner has never been approved officially. The arms are in use since around 1520.
