Shield parted per fess, above Argent an iron fist Sable in fess, beneath Sable a 5-spokes wheel Argent.
Meaning:
The arms are reminding on Knight Götz von Berlichingen, protagonist of a drama, written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The upper half displays the knight's iron fist, an artificial limb, which is kept in the local Götzenburg, where Götz von Berlichingen was born in 1480. The lower half displays the family arms of the Counts of Berlichingen.
