Shield Azure, a crozier Or issuant from a sheltered bridge Argent with two barrulets Argent between its counter bearings.
Meaning:
The bridge is a representation of the wooden bridge, crossing the Ammer River near Echelsbach. It is also alluding to the former importance of the local carrying trade. The barrulets wavy are alluding to a local lake, being the name giver of the municipality. Since 1996, when the municipality gained the title of a spa, they are also alluding to the spa. The crozier is alluding to the Benedictine Ettal Monastery and the Convent of Rottenbuch. Both played an important role in the local history.
