Shield parted by a fess wavy Argent, above Azure a pair of wings Or, beneath Gules an axe and a mattock in saltire, both Argent.
Meaning:
Weidhausen was established in 1978 by a merger of Neuensorg, Trübenbach and Weidhausen proper. The wings are taken from the arms of the Lords of Erffa. Georg of Erffa acquired a manor in Weidhausen in 1651. Tübenbach, which means muddy creek, is represented by the fess wavy, a canting element. Axe and mattock are representing Neuensorg and forest management, its most important business line for centuries.
