Grub Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a fir issuant Sable between two demi-hills Vert in flanches.
Meaning:
The pattern appeared first on a seal of the local court of justice in the 17th century. The arms are canting as the hills are representing a valley or swale (Bavarian: Grub) and the fir is representing a forest (German: Forst). The tinctures are those of the Principality of Sachsen-Coburg, to which the village belonged since the 16th century.
