Shield parted per pale of Argent and Gules, on a base at dexter an oak couped per pale and at sinister a beech couped per pale, all charges including the base are in counterchanged colours.
Meaning:
The arms are alluding to the long local tradition of forestry for scientific and economic purposes in the local mixed forests. The colours are those of Brandenburg.
