Shield Argent, on a base of clouds Argent an angel statant, winged Or, dressed Azure, coated Gules helmeted Or with plumes Gules, holding a blue sword flambant hilted Or in his right hand and a palm frond Vert in his left hand.
Meaning:
There had been no local seals. The current pattern is based on a painting, copied from a painting from the late 18th century. A revision in 1819 acknowledged the image as "used since time immemorial", although there hadn't been the slightest evidence. The angel is St. Michael. He is patron saint of the local parish church together with St. Vitus.
