The Frankston Yacht Club (FYC) is located on the foreshore at Frankston, Victoria. The club was founded in 1937. The club buildings were partially funded from monies obtained in 1960 from the Stanley Kramer organisation as fees earned by club members and their boats used in the filming of "On the Beach" off Canadian Bay (1959, starring Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner, Fred Astaire and Anthony Perkins).
The burgee of FYC is horizontally divided red-green. My image was made after a graphic representation of the burgee on the FYC website.
