The population of the village is of mixed languages German and Croatian. The existence of the flag has not yet been confirmed, however the colours blue and white are official.

From the communal website: "The earliest known document bearing the municipal seal of Neudorf dates from 1721. It depicts a pelican in its nest feeding its young. Inscription: SIGILL DER GEMAN NEUDORFF. This seal was still in use in the second half of the 19th century and was then supplemented by seals with Hungarian inscriptions, which remained valid until 1921, but were replaced by seals with German inscriptions from 1921 onwards.
The symbolism of the pelican as a coat of arms has a long tradition. The Middle Ages adopted the ancient Greek belief that the pelican kills its young, but then brings them back to life with its own blood after three days. With this image reminiscent of Christ's sacrificial death, it became part of Christian symbolism.

At its meeting on 12 January 1999, the Neudorf municipal council decided to apply for a coat of arms and immediately established the municipal colours as 'blue and white'. It then commissioned the heraldist and graphic designer Erwin Moravitz to create a design for the coat of arms based on the municipal seal from 1721. After thorough consultation, the coat of arms design was commissioned and submitted to the Burgenland provincial government for approval and conferral.
The municipality's new emblem incorporates the symbols of the municipal seal used in the 18th and 19th centuries, thus demonstrating that the municipality, which was first mentioned in documents in 1074 and refounded in 1570 by Croatian settlers, is willing to reconcile its future with its identity, which has grown out of its history.
At its meeting on 20 July 1999, the Burgenland provincial government decided to grant the municipality of Neudorf the right to use the coat of arms described as: 'In blue, in a green nest, a silver pelican with a golden beak and golden legs, feeding its three silver young.'"
