Sun Valley High School

[flag] image located by Daniel Rentería, 17 August 2025

A flag from the 1950s
An old flag from the 1950s can be seen at https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/x4cAAOSwd2FmbcPd/s-l1600.webp. It depicts the coat of arms of the high school placed on a blue field. Above the coat of arms is the text SUN VALLEY; underneath it, HIGH SCHOOL is read. The coat of arms depicts a griffin as its crest. The shield depicts three sections; the lower section depicts a sun (hence its name), the upper-left section depicts the arms of William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania; and the upper-right section depicts a lion surrounded by crosses. At the bottom, the motto SCIENTIA VERITAS ET HONOR [Science, Truth, and Honor] is read. All details are in gold and blue, the school colors.
