Description:
The Seal heretofore provided and used by and for the Village
with the words "Village of River Forest, organized October 24, 1980", on the
outer circle, and in the interior of said circle the monogram "RF" together with
the inscription "SILVA IN FLUMINE", shall be and is hereby established and
declared to be the Seal of the Village. The official flag of the Village,
adopted during the Centennial celebration in 1980, with the graphics and colors
depicting the river and forest which gave River Forest its name in 1880, shall
be and is hereby established and declared to be the flag of the Village. A
