Arlington Heights is a town in Cook County, Illinois and a suburb of Chicago. Founded as a farming community and railroad stop in the 1850s, Arlington Heights was incorporated in 1887.
The flag of Arlington Heights can be seen online at www.arlingtoncardinal.com. In the photograph, the flag held by the color guard on the far right is that of the town. The flag features the Arlington Heights seal displayed on a white field. The seal is centered, but slightly below center on the vertical plane, with the town motto in red letters above the seal: "CITY OF GOOD NEIGHBORS." The seal itself consists of a red stylized capital "A" in a gold sunburst, surrounded by a white ring fimbriated black. On the ring are the words in black "ARLINGTON HEIGHTS" and "ILLINOIS," separated by black dots.
