Description of the flag

The colours may be somewhat distorted in the photograph, but they are a shade of red for the field and lettering and dark green for the foliage (possibly sugar cane). As far as I know at this time, the HCR was the only one of the Hawaiian railway companies that had a flag. Although, since the Oahu Railway operated an inter-island freight service for few years, they may have had a house flag for their vessels, but I have yet to see an illustration or example of it.
