Meaning:
The tank engine is reminding on the Portuguese Northern railway line. The track between Porto and Braga was inaugurated in May 1875 and finished in 1884. The local railway station was restored much later in 1920. The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of Our Lady of Expectation (St. Mary), the local patron saint. The vine leaves are symbolizing agriculture, the location was called the "agricultural valley of Este River". Since times immemorial Nine was well known as a location having "great agricultural estates". The base wavy is representing Este River.
