Shield Gules, a pelican Or in mercy, in chief two embattled towers Or masoned Sable with port and windows Vert ordered per fess. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "SANTA MARIA - TORRES NOVAS".
Meaning:
The pelican is carved into stone in the church of St.Mary of the Castle, granted by Dom João II, it is also enforcing the idea of maternity and mercy, associated to Our Lady of Ó, the local patron saint.

Shield Gules, issuant from base a hill Vert fimbriated Or, crowned by a double headed eagle Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "SALVADOR - TORRES NOVAS".
Meaning:
The whole ensemble is symbolizing the value of the place as a watch tower of Torres Novas, furthermore to two boxes on the main altar of the Church of Our Saviour, the first parish of Torres Novas.

Shield Gules, a scallop Or charged with a cross fleury fitchy Gules (sword cross) above and a crescent recumbent Vert below. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "SANTIAGO - TORRES NOVAS".
Meaning:
The scallop is an attribute of St. James the Elder, the local patron saint. Sword cross (of the Knights' Order of Santiago) and crescent are reminding on the conquest of Torres Novas from the Moors by Dom Afonso Henriques, and to the erection of a primitive chapel as a promise from the 1st king (of Portugal).
