Constantim e Cicouro (Custantin i Cicuiro) was established, when the villages of Constantim (Custantin) and Cicouro (Cicuiro) merged in 2013. The names in brackets are Mirandese, the local language.

It should be noted that this amalgamation bring the matters to the state of 1864-1930, when Constantim was annexed to Cicouro. Law 27.424 published on 31 December 1936 inDiário da República created (or reestablished) Constantim as an independent commune; the current situation seems to have inverted preponderance of one village over the other, though.

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain red field.

The commune had its arms and flag approved by the Comissão de Heráldica da Associação dos Arqueólogos Portugueses (CHAAP) in 2007 but apparently never officialized (i.e., published in the official journal Diário da Repúblicaafter rubberstamped by the parliament). The CHAAP's "assessment" (parecer) was issued on 2007.01.09

Constantim (Custantin) Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Miranda do Douro Municipality; it had 109 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 22,2 km². Like all toponyms in the municipality, this commune has two names: Constantim in Portuguese and Custantin in Mirandese (the local syncretic Asturian-Leonese dialect complex, co-official language of Portugal and given a standard orthography); each is the translation of the other and both are an untranslatable, apparently almost meaningless toponym.

Hiperglobal webpage displays just an empty shield. The commune had no proper symbols.
