Shield Azure with base wavy of Azure and Argent, a well Or, pouring water Argent, in chief a weaver's shuttle Argent in fess, filled Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "SOBRETÂMEGA".
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing Tâmega River. The commune's name means "above Tâmega"
